“Bees do have a smell, you know, and if they don't they should, for their feet are dusted with spices from a million flowers.”
― Ray Bradbury

About

My name is Emmalee Eslinger. I love in the burbs of Minneapolis and I love bees! I am just going into my senior year of high school and I thank you for swinging by my website.  I really look forward to updating you on my thoughts relating to 'saving your bees!"

Project

My goal was three fold: 1) add 1,000 square feet of new bee habitat at my dad's house' 2) raise some money to help supplement the cost of adding the bee habitat and 3) add signage on the lake path outside my house to educate people on bees.  On a typical summer weekend we have hundreds of people that pass by my signs.

Donate

I am not longer taking donations as my project is complete but I encourage you to consider donating to help 'save our bees'.  There are a number of great 'bee charities' or 'bee advocates' to consider:

1) beesponsible.com

2) beekindmn.org

3) thehoneybeeconservancy.org

Get Involved

The question is - how can you help save your bees? The answer is simple!

- Sponsor a hive

- Build a bee box

- Keep bee-friendly plants

- Avoid harmful pesticides

- Stop chemical treatments for       plants.

- Buy honey from your local          beekeepers.

Breaking News!

My family submitted my Senior Project work for submission for a North Oaks Bee Pollinator Award .. and we won! So excited! The city council voted to award this honor.  It was posted to the local paper.  Click on the PDF icon to view. Also, they want to feature us in some type of video about the project ... I guess I may be the 'voice' for the video.  Looking forward to it.
